Elise Design Company & Infamous Swim

I received these super cute earrings from Elise Design Company to review.

Elise Design Company creates handcrafted jewelry that is unique and crafted with care. You can get personalized jewelry as well.

I love how fun and unique the jewelry is while still being a bit subtle and classy. I was sent several pairs of these super cute earrings to review. I kept this pair for myself and have been sharing the rest with my daughters and friends.

For a handcrafted earring, the quality on these is terrific. I’m super cautious about wearing studs because my ears a sensitive (especially to studs) and the wrong earrings can cause a lot of irritation.

I wore these for more than 12 hours one day and they didn’t bother my ears at all. And my daughter who’s ears are more sensitive than mine has been wearing hers for days with no problems. We both love it when we find an earring brand that we can wear all day!

I’ve had so much fun browsing the Elise Design Company website. They have these awesome initial necklaces and I’m just loving their geo stud collection.

The earrings I’m wearing are white and rose gold and they basically go with everything I own! And they have the cutest little popsicle earrings on their website for the summer. I just want to buy them all!

And as a great start to Summer Infamous Swim sent me and my girls these cute swimsuits to review!

They’re so adorable, affordable, and fun! They have the cutest matching swim sets for the entire family!

I love how they have all sorts of fun patterns in all sorts of different styles and they have sizes from baby to adult. The perfect place to purchase swimwear for our summer beach vacation!

Makeup/Accessories Subscription Box Review

Mint Mongoose

I was sent this cute jewelry subscription box to review. And I was definitely pleased with how fun the jewelry is. For a $16 monthly subscription, you receive 3 matching pieces of jewelry. I love how the jewelry could be worn alone or together. The sealed envelope and little candy were such a nice touch!

Each jewelry set comes with a postcard that tells a story behind the inspiration to create these pieces. You choose if you want silver, gold, or rose gold. And you can opt out of earrings if you don’t want them.

Want a little more? You can get their Mint Mongoose Black subscription for $23 a month. It comes with 4 pieces of jewelry and 2 accessories each month.

So much fun!

My Little Mascara Club

A subscription for mascara? I was skeptical at first, but, being as I was offered a free box to review, I thought I would give it a try. They sent me their starter set. Which is currently $21 (discounted from $31).

The mascara works well for me – I’m a little picky about my mascara, and this one worked great. What I really love though, is the micellar water and the erase pads. These made getting my mascara off actually possible. Erasing one of my pet peeves about wearing mascara!

You can choose 30, 45, 60, or 90 days frequency, depending on how much you use or like to replace your mascara. After your first order, you’ll receive mascara only for $21 at your subscription frequency. Super convenient!

Ipsy

Ipsy is a monthly makeup and beauty supply subscription box. They have 3 sizes, Glam Bag, Glam Bag Plus, and Glam Bag Ultimate. Bags are $12, $25, and $50 a month, respectively. One interesting thing about this subscription is that in order to subscribe to the larger bags, you have to also subscribe to the bags below it.

Glam Bag contains 5 deluxe size samples. Glam Bag Plus contains 5 full size products. Glam Bag ultimate contains 8 full size products and 4 deluxe size samples.

You do get the option to customize your bag each month. I get both the Glam Bag and the Glam Bag Plus and it’s plenty of cosmetics for the month. If I don’t like something, my girls are usually happy to take it. And if I’m feeling like I have too much, I just pause my subscription for a month or two.

This subscription is just a fun way to treat myself every month. Check it out here!

Fab Fit Fun

I love this box! This is a quarterly subscription box. And at $55 a box is an amazing deal! Full price, my fall box would have cost me almost $500. This box has beauty supplies, but it also has home items and clothing.

I got this awesome blue and white poncho in my summer box and have absolutely loved it! That thing itself was probably worth $55 to me! My fall box is on it’s way and I just can’t wait! It has a super cute throw, kitchen canisters, a curling iron, adorable hair clips, and a few other items.

You do get to customize and because I’m getting so many beauty items in my ipsy box, I tend to pick accessories instead of beauty products when I customize.

Chick Fil A Upcycle Challenge

I’m part of a ChickFilA mom’s panel and for February they are having a upcycle challenge with the Chick Fil A soup bowls.

IMG_20170215_131146104Which, if you haven’t tried their soup. You need to. My kids love the chicken noodle and the southwestern chicken is my favorite, even though I don’t usually enjoy spicy foods.

Then we took our soup containers and the girls made little jewelry boxes. This was a fun and easy craft and we made something useful – just maybe their jewelry will end up in these boxes and not all over the floor!

Supplies:

  1. ChickFilA soup container – washed and dried
  2. Paint – we used acrylic paint and some puffy paint
  3. Newspaper – for covering your surface, you don’t want to be cleaning acrylic paint off your table
  4. Paintbrushes – we used foam brushes and regular brushes, it’s all about how you prefer to paint
  5. Cup of water – for rinsing brushes
  6. Paper towels – for drying brushes, wiping hands, etc.
  7. If your kids are doing the painting I also recommend an old shirt or paint smock for them.

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry your containers
  2. Spread newspaper over your work surface
  3. Paint containers with the acrylic paint. You might want a couple of coats if you want more coverage, I tried to convince my kids to use more paint but they really liked the textured look they were getting with just one coat. Rinse and lay out your brushes to dry. Let your containers dry completely
  4. Add designs with the puffy paint. My girls attempted to draw jewelry with their paint. They even traced the Chick Fil A logo on the lid of their containers because they love Chick Fil A and thought it was so cool to have Chick Fil A jewelry boxes. The puffy paint is also great for keeping the containers from sliding around on hard surfaces. Let this dry overnight or however long your puffy paint says.
  5. Fill with jewelry 🙂

This project was so much fun and let the kids get super creative.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. So get your pink ready! Pink is also my oldest daughter’s favorite color, she’ll really be in style this month!

For Breast Cancer awareness month Glamulet has created Pink Limited Edition Charms. For every set of charms added to the cart, 50% is donated to a charity organization. So, you can support breast cancer research and get something beautiful for yourself at the same time. Then, wear your new jewelry proudly through the month of October and show off your support for Women’s Health.

Glamulet has some super cute pink charms on their website here.

You can use these charms on bracelets or necklaces to create your own unique look.

This pink rose is so pretty.

Romantic-pink-rose-charmI love charms that I can swap out between my bracelet and my necklace, and this would look great on both! It would look great on this pink bracelet.

Really, I just love jewelry. Feeding my jewelry addiction and supporting a great cause at the same time, is a win win for everyone!

So, I discovered this cute little Etsy shop the other day. Actually, I won a contest she had on facebook and she sent me two pieces of jewelry, that’s how I discovered it. But looking through her jewelry I found so many pieces that I like that I just had to share her shop.

She sent me this awesome necklace – that I am hiding from my kids, because they tried to claim it the second they saw it.

IMG_20150814_170948504And these earrings – which I don’t have to hide because I’m the only one who can wear them. Though, my 7yr old has also just decided that she’s ready to have her ears pierced. Not sure if that was because she just turned 7 or because she’s decided to start stealing earrings from me as well.

il_570xN.796155746_h9r7This Metal Kumihino bracelet is one of her newest items and it’s so sparkly and feminine.

il_570xN.796154532_45k2I just love elephants and this Elephants in Time bracelet/watch is just adorable.

Plus it’s only $20 and if you use the discount code below you get a discount and free shipping!

My favorite item on her shop are these barefoot sandals. Perfect for a bride or bridesmaids for a wedding. I really wish I had these when I got married 10 years ago. I couldn’t wear shoes with a heel or my dress would have been the wrong length so I ended up wearing white bedroom slippers, because finding flat white shoes for a bride is impossible. No one actually saw my feet, but these would have been just perfect with a cute pedicure.
